Lead-Coordinator Mxolisi Shongwe kicked off the launch event with an inspiring address, highlighting the tour’s growing international appeal. “We’re seeing tremendous growth in popularity outside Eswatini,” Shongwe noted, revealing that over 60% of entries so far have come from outside the Kingdom, and many returning riders. With registrations nearing (and on track to surpass) last year’s 180 cyclists, the 2026 tour is shaping up to be a true regional celebration of cycling.

Shongwe, on behalf of the organising team, paid special tribute to title sponsors Alphsz, who have been committed partners since the tour’s inception, sharing a token of appreciation. He also extended gratitude to all past and present sponsors, whose support has been instrumental in keeping the event affordable, safe, fun, and inclusive for cyclists of all levels.
